The Broad Academy runs a two-year fellowship for top-level individuals committed to driving dramatic improvements in urban public education. Our Fellows serve at the highest levels in school systems across the country, uniquely positioning them to work with the communities they serve to advance unprecedented opportunity for young people.
Our Fellows are committed to building equity and excellence for all students.
Our Fellows are highly-motivated, accomplished leaders who are driven to prove what is possible for America’s low-income students and students of color. They are building models for urban public education that serve as inspiration for other school systems across the country. Most importantly, their actions — individually and collectively — are creating positive, life-changing outcomes for students. Learn more about our Fellows.
The Academy brings together talented leaders to catalyze groundbreaking approaches for urban school systems.
Each Academy cohort represents a broad range of backgrounds and belief systems. The fellowship offers leaders a structured opportunity to challenge and learn from one another as well as experience the kind of thought partnership that grows leadership and catalyzes innovation. Throughout their time in the Academy, Fellows put ideas into action that take our school systems to new heights. Learn more about the program.
We are part of a national network focused on transforming urban public education.
The Broad Academy is a program of The Broad Center for the Management of School Systems, a nonprofit organization that prepares and supports leaders in urban public K-12 education. After Broad Academy fellowships conclude, The Broad Center offers ongoing opportunities to engage with and learn from more than 600 other education leaders across the nation who are part of the organization’s network.
