Selection Process

The selection process for the next cohort of Broad Academy Fellows has begun. The process is outlined below.

    Information Call

    An informational call is scheduled with select individuals to discuss the fellowship and the candidate’s career goals.

    Phone Interview

    The selection process begins in earnest with a 60-minute telephone interview. Please be prepared to share your professional resume when this call is scheduled.

    Advancement decisions will be made within two weeks of this conversation.

    Virtual Interview and Impact Submission

    Select candidates will be advanced to a 75-minute virtual interview during which they will present a brief impact presentation. This presentation will be submitted in advance to the Academy team.

    In-Person Interview

    Select candidates will be invited to Los Angeles for a full day of in-person interviews with Broad Academy team members and alumni. This also is a chance to meet and learn from other candidates.

    Candidates will be notified regarding any next steps two to four weeks after this interview.

    The Academy covers expenses for travel and accommodations for these interviews.
