This page outlines the selection process for Academy Fellows. Our next application period begins in April 2015.

    Candidate Profiles

    To determine if The Broad Academy is a good fit for you, please visit our Candidate Profiles page.

    Successful applicants for the Academy display transformative leadership skills.

    We also encourage you to review the Featured Profiles of Academy graduates.

    Resume Submission

    Beginning in April 2015, our recruitment and selection team will carefully review resumes and personally contact potentially qualified individuals to discuss the program and its requirements.

    Application Submission

    Selected individuals are invited to complete an online application.

    Applications are reviewed by a panel including Academy network members and senior staff. A follow up call and/or additional information may be requested once an application has been received.

    In-Person Interview

    Selected applicants are invited to Los Angeles for a day of in-person interviews.

    The Broad Academy covers travel and accommodations for interviews.

    Those interviewed are typically notified of next steps within two weeks.

    References and Additional Interviews

    The Academy conducts professional references and background checks for all finalists, as well as a thorough review of all information collected during the selection process.

    Additional interviews with the Academy leadership team and/or Academy network members are typically scheduled for each finalist as well.

    The first program session for this Academy cohort is slated to convene in Los Angeles in June 2016.*
