The Broad Residency 2018-2020

My journey into education started as a love for children and developed into a drive to fight historical inequity and provide all students opportunities for success. I truly believe that all children can flourish if given the appropriate supports.

Allison Parker currently serves as the senior manager of early college science, technology, engineering and math at Chicago Public Schools, where she works with eight district high schools to increase post-secondary success through the implementation of a wall-to-wall STEM program model. Prior to this role, Allison worked at Chicago Public Schools as a second-grade classroom teacher and then with the district office to maximize access to and quality of out-of-school time programs. Before entering education, Allison worked in marketing and brand management for the publishing company Time Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in elementary education from Northwestern University.
