Preparing ALL students for success in college and in life is what will fulfill the promise of the American Dream. High-quality schools are the unit of change that will give all of our children the freedom and opportunity to chart their path in life, to uplift their families and communities and to ultimately spur innovation and economic progress in our country.

With a vision to become the first school system in which most low-income students who enroll in college ultimately earn degrees, KIPP Bay Area Schools — under the leadership of chief executive officer Beth Sutkus Thompson — focuses on meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of their students. Thompson’s strategic plan pushes KIPP Bay Area to get both bigger and even better: quadrupling in size over the next decade while providing the supports needed for all of their KIPPsters to succeed beyond high school.
