The Broad Residency 2019-2021
My aspiration to seek a career in education management grows from my experience in the healthcare finance landscape learning how regulation and compliance impacts the lives of people during their journey to health. It is my hope to build a career in education that improves socioeconomic disparities and the wellbeing of the students matriculating through urban school systems. I would like to get closer to the human experience in a career that has a more direct line to improving the quality of life for others.
As a Broad Resident, Christina Aden serves as the director of financial projects at Indianapolis Public Schools, where she oversees several district-wide projects to improve financial reporting and accountability. Before joining The Broad Residency Christina was a revenue management program manager for the largest healthcare system in Indiana. In that role she quantified the financial implications of federal health regulations and assessed the impacts they have on the quality of care. Prior to that, she was a senior healthcare consultant for Myers & Stauffer LLC, senior financial analyst for Anthem and also worked in the division of medical underwriting and actuary for United Healthcare. Christina earned her bachelor’s degree in Physiology from Howard University and a master’s of business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
