The Broad Residency 2019-2021
For many of our youth in America, a solid education is sometimes the only saving grace available to improve a person’s quality of life and ultimately their future. My aim is to follow my passion which is to enhance communities by improving or transforming the existing structure through management, equity and innovation.
As a Broad Resident, Damon Willis serves as Manager, District Strategy at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where he manages district strategic planning, performance management, project management, and continuous improvement efforts. Before joining The Broad Residency, Damon was a Sales Manager for Union Pacific Railroad where he conducted cross functional project management, customer contract negotiations, along with the facilitation of business development initiatives for Plastics and Industrial Chemicals customers. He also worked as a Marketing Manager, where he directed marketing, forecasting and pricing initiatives for over 200 different commodities. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Wyoming and an MBA from Clark Atlanta University. In addition, he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Degree from Northcentral University.
