Emmanuel “Manny” Caulk has been superintendent of Fayette County Public Schools, the second largest school district in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, since 2015. He serves roughly 41,000 students and more than 5,000 employees.
Previously, Manny served as Superintendent of Portland Public Schools, the largest district in the state of Maine, serving 11,000 students, including adult students who attended the Portland Adult Education program.
Manny was also assistant superintendent at the School District of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s largest school district, serving over 157,000 students. Under his leadership schools demonstrated gains in reading and math as measured by student performance on the state assessment.
Before the School District of Philadelphia, Manny served as the assistant superintendent for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and served as a leadership coach on the High School Transformation project with Chicago Public Schools.
