The Broad Residency 2018-2020
Supporting students and their families has always been the work that sustains my soul. I am eager to leverage my experiences so that each child can be seen for his or her capabilities and equipped with access to a high-quality, dignified education. Without reservation, I am excited by the momentum of talented education professionals who are already putting transformative ideas into action and changing the lives of children.
Erica Harrison Arnold is the director of performance analytics and research for Henry County Schools, the eighth largest school district in Georgia. Prior to joining The Broad Residency, she practiced law as a government contracts and construction attorney for a leading international firm. Years before, Erica worked as an analyst intern for a federal watchdog organization, a policy researcher within a children’s social justice advocacy non-profit, a school operations manager at a teacher training site, and a judicial intern supporting a circuit superior court judge. Her career began as an elementary teacher in a Title I public school. Erica earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and English arts from Hampton University, and she earned both a master’s in public policy and a juris doctorate through the joint-degree program at Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Harvard Law School.
