The Broad Residency 2018-2020

Creating a better future for the next generation, our communities and our nation begins with equitable access to outstanding education. I'm all in to help rethink this system, drive inclusive and game-changing education for every student and ensure all are prepared for the connected, rapidly-evolving era we have entered.

Lara Hussain is the director of MyTech at Denver Public Schools. Before joining The Broad Residency, she was a fellow at Colorado Succeeds, where she helped implement statewide education reform policies. Before she transitioned to education, Lara spent more than 16 years managing global sustainability at a Fortune 500 company, overseeing environmental and social performance, and also briefly served as an environmental journalist. Lara earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University with a focus in environmental science and policy.
