The Broad Residency 2018-2020
As an immigrant and product of public schools, I am grateful for the opportunities American public education has afforded me. But on a daily basis as an education space professional, I confront the unconscionable reality that the same system that propelled me forward fails countless students. I embrace my work in education as a calling, with a fierce belief in equity, and a desire to see public schools deliver on their promise to all students.
Megha Kansra is a director of research and development projects at Summit Public Schools, advancing projects in areas such as family engagement, academics and mental health. Megha began her career as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, working with clients in the retail, energy and nonprofit industries. She earned bachelor’s degrees in business honors, marketing, and Plan II liberal arts honors from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
