The Broad Residency 2018-2020

I learned the value of education from my mom. She used to tell me, "get a great education because that's the one thing no one can ever take from you." That's why I've made it my mission to ensure all kids, no matter their zip code, receive the great education they need and deserve.

Rae Oglesby is the deputy chief of communications at Mastery Charter Schools, leading all public relations, marketing and branding for the charter network and its 24 schools. Prior to joining Mastery Charter Schools, she served as the director of marketing and communications at the Black Women’s Health Imperative and the senior content writer/social media manager at the United Way of Greater Atlanta. Rae started her career as a broadcast journalist, working for ten years at local and national news outlets, including CNN. A proud Rattler, Rae earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University and a master’s degree in business administration from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
