6:30 a.m.

I wake up to the sunlight beaming into my room.

6:40 a.m.

I check my work email via my phone for urgent messages that require an immediate response.

6:45 a.m.

I open Twitter to review the major news stories of the evening.

7:00 a.m.

I prepare and eat breakfast.

7:30 a.m.

I check-in with my family while getting ready for the day. My schedule is usually tight during the day so my loved ones usually call me first thing in the morning.

8:00 a.m.

I leave my apartment to begin my commute to the office, which is a short drive away. My commute is also family time. This morning I spoke to my step father about his weekend plans.

8:30 a.m.

I arrive at the office.

8:45 a.m.

I check-in with a colleague on a hiring fair that happened last evening and begin planning for another hiring fair we both will attend on Saturday.

9:00 a.m.

I attend an all-day strategic partner convening at which I will be presenting my work on Teacher Leadership in the district.

11:30 a.m.

I present to strategic partners and internal stakeholders, which includes the deputy superintendent, chief of schools, and chief of talent and learning, on the teacher leadership initiative I lead, Empower.

12:00 p.m.

I grab some lunch.

12:30 p.m.

I provide feedback to colleagues on their partnership updates at the strategic partner convening.

3:30 p.m.

I spend time reading and returning emails.

5:45 p.m.

I meet with community stakeholders on elevating stories to attract individuals to Tulsa.

7:30 p.m.

I play a softball games with Tulsa Public School co-workers.

9:30 p.m.

I head back home.

I awake to the sunlight beaming into my room.

6:40 a.m.

While eating breakfast I check my work email via my iPhone for urgent messages.

7:00 a.m.

I prepare to leave for work.

7:30 a.m.

I stop at a tire repair shop to check on my vehicle as I would not have the chance during the day.

8:00 a.m.

I arrive at the office.

8:30 a.m.

Independent work time.

9:00 a.m.

I check-in with my intern on his final project.

10:00 a.m.

I participate in a Collective Bargaining Meeting with our Teacher’s Association.

12:30 p.m.

I attend a presentation of a high school intern who is launching a college and career readiness program at his school.

1:00 p.m.

I participate in a meeting with members of the Extended Leadership Team on metrics for our key priorities for the 2018-2019 school year.

2:00 p.m.

I provide feedback to my intern on his final presentation.

3:00 p.m.

I briefly meet with a colleague, providing feedback on a proposal he has outstanding.

3:30 p.m.

I have independent work time prepping for a step back meeting on Friday.

5:30 p.m.

I head back home.

6:00 p.m.
